The geographical location of le Château de Fontenay will allow you to discover the most beautiful and famous castles of the Val de Loire whilst reducing the distances and time spent on the road. Lets take for example:

• Chenonceaux, less than 6km away (Ask us for the bicycles to get there, its unique!) ;
• Amboise and its famous Château, 10min by car ;
• Loches and its medieval town, located 20km away.

Make the most of your stay by discovering the wealth of French wine making heritage and learn about wine tasting! Le Château de Fontenay is also a wine growing estate. White, Red, Rosé, still wines made with traditional methods, our range of wines of appellation Touraine or range of wines appellation Touraine will surely seduce your curious palates. We also offer offer visits through our vineyards, wineries and wine cellars upon request. Feel like visiting a different appellation? We can also advise you on which wine growing estates to visit and go wine tasting!

Tired from your car, train or plane journey? Supermarkets are closed upon your arrival? For a stressless beginning to your stay, our chef will prepare a complete evening meal (Soup, seasonal salty cake, salad, desert, bread).

• Picnic basket (Available for stays in our B&B rooms or Cottages)

A day of visits and activities can build up an appetite. Our Chef can prepare complete basket picnics for you (sandwich, crisps, seasonal salty cake, seasonal fruits, pastries, water bottle and coffee). It would be a shame to give it a miss!

• Menus between 18€ and 25€ (Available only for stays in our Cottages)
